New song “Whiskey Revival”

Here are the lyrics to a new song I’ve been working on… first time writing a country drinkin’ song. Initially inspired by the honky tonks of Nashville, TN haha, then completed in Austin, TX:

“Whiskey Revival” by James Roquemore

I’ve been waiting here long enough

My breath is baited for a shot of the good stuff

Line ‘em up, shoot ‘em down, line ‘em up again

Don’t need a lot to make me feel alright

I’m only lonely from 9 to 5

Line ‘em up, shoot ‘em down, line ‘em up again

When I say, “Bottom’s up!” you gotta shoot ‘em down

Once we’re fired up we’re gonna dance it out

With a bottle and a Bible

Start a Whiskey Revival

Somebody spin another drinkin’ song

The kind that keep us singin’ all night long,

“Line ‘em up, shoot ‘em down, line ‘em up again.”

Filled with the Spirit now we’ve come alive

We’ve waited all week for a Friday night

Line ‘em up, shoot ‘em down, line ‘em up again

When I say, “Bottom’s up!” you gotta shoot ‘em down

Once we’re fired up we’re gonna dance it out

Take a bottle and a Bible

Come on, Whiskey Revival

Start a Whiskey Revival
